Privacy Policy

Up and Down is an offline putting and chipping companion. This policy explains how the app and its support website handle information. Contact the developer at anton@qmail.ae.
Information on your iPhone
Distances, slope, grain and shot calculations are processed on your device. Unit preferences, step length, club calibrations and your optional Auto level correction are saved locally. The app framework also stores local installation and version information needed to run the app. We do not receive these values.
Motion sensors
When you turn on Auto, the app uses the iPhone’s motion sensors to estimate the local slope. Readings are processed on the device, are not uploaded and are not saved as a motion history. Auto stops when you turn it off or switch shot modes, and pauses while the app is in the background. Manual slope controls work without motion access.
No tracking or advertising
The app has no accounts, advertising, third-party analytics or developer-operated server. It does not collect location, contacts, photos or payment information. We do not sell or share app data for advertising and do not track you across other apps or websites.
Camera distance
Camera measurement is optional. While you hold Hold to Auto, the app uses camera images, motion tracking and, on supported iPhones, depth information to estimate the distance between the ground points you select at the ball and hole. This processing stays on your iPhone. Images, video and spatial maps are not saved or sent to us. The camera stops when the measurement ends or the app leaves the foreground. You can revoke camera permission in iPhone Settings; manual distance controls remain available.
Support email
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer your request and troubleshoot the app. Email is handled by our email service providers. Please avoid sending sensitive information. Support correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle the request and meet applicable legal obligations. You may ask us to delete it using the contact above.
Your choices and deletion
Use Menu → Clear saved data to remove saved preferences, club calibrations and the Auto level correction and return the current session to defaults. Reset on the main screen resets the current shot but preserves your preferences. Deleting the app removes its local app data from the device. Device backups are managed by Apple and your own backup settings; deleting local data does not automatically erase existing backups.
Website and external links
Our support website does not add analytics, advertising cookies or contact forms. Its hosting provider may process technical request information, such as your IP address and browser information, to deliver and secure the site. When you open an external instructional link or use your email app, that provider’s own privacy policy applies.
Children
The app does not create profiles or knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian can contact us about information voluntarily sent in a support request.
Changes and requests
We will update the effective date if this policy changes. For access, correction or deletion requests relating to support correspondence, or any privacy question, email anton@qmail.ae.
